About Me

Hello there! I’m Ernest, a UI/UX designer from Alameda, California. I graduated from University of California, Santa Cruz with a B.S. in Cognitive Science, specializing in human-computer interaction.

Growing up, I would spend hours on end drawing characters from my favorite animated shows. That creative passion eventually evolved into my love for designing user experiences. In high school, I enjoyed making simple websites in my classes, which led me to initially study computer science in university. I quickly realized that coding limited my creativity, so I switched majors to cognitive science, where I found my calling in UI/UX design.

Since then, I have designed mobile and web apps for nonprofits such as Your Future Is Our Business, Santa Cruz Mountains Art Center, and Pajaro Valley Loaves and Fishes. As I continue my design journey, I aim to create user-friendly, accessible digital experiences that can provide meaningful value and positive impact to people around the world.
